Est. in the Veiled World

"Redwood University does not exist to educate. It exists to control."
The Veiled World
To the outside world, Redwood University is an elite private institution nestled in a remote mountain region of North America — known for its prestigious sports programs and isolated campus.
The truth is something else entirely. Hidden beneath the surface lies the Veiled World — home to supernatural beings living in plain sight. Werewolves, vampires, shifters, mages, fae, and more walk its halls. Maintained by ancient magic and binding laws known as the Veil, their existence remains invisible to humanity.
Redwood University is not just a school. It is a control mechanism. A diplomatic neutral ground. A breeding ground for the next generation of power.
Campus Law
Full shifting on campus is strictly forbidden. Partial shifting is only permitted during official sports competitions, designated training grounds, and within the Hunting Grounds. Unauthorized shifting is classified as a Veil violation.
Public spellcasting is prohibited. All magic must be subtle, contained, and non-observable. Permitted zones include training facilities and restricted academic spaces — and unofficially, the Underground.
Fresh blood consumption on campus is forbidden. Blood must be processed, voluntarily provided, and sourced through approved channels. Unauthorized feeding is classified as predatory misconduct.
Claimed bonds and mate bonds must be registered with the university. Unregistered bonds are treated as unstable and dangerous. Territorial scent-marking, however, is permitted.
Officially, the Underground does not exist. In reality it houses illegal fight rings, black market trading, forbidden magic, and information exchange — accessible through a concealed entrance beneath the Grand Hall.
Revealing supernatural existence to humans. Bringing humans onto campus. Using humans as feeding or magical resources. Unauthorized blood rituals. Violation results in immediate expulsion — and loss of Veil protection.
Social Order
Redwood operates on strict social stratification. Power comes not only from personal ability, but from heritage, alliances, and control over secrets.
Fae, Merfolk, Witches & Mages. Centuries old, keepers of lost knowledge and pre-Veil legacies. Mostly withdrawn from daily politics — but when they intervene, their word carries weight that cannot be ignored.
Vampires, Werewolf packs, dominant Shifters. The richest and most powerful class on campus. They control the sports teams, the Underground, and the elite dormitories. Absolute power — at all times.
Certain Animal Shifters and Demi-Humans. Limited wealth, minimal political influence. Often manipulated by Predators. Social mobility is rare — and dangerous. Those who rise too quickly tend to vanish.
Athletics
Sports at Redwood are more than competition. They are controlled displays of dominance — scouting grounds for fraternities, Underground sponsors, and future power brokers.
Undefeated for forty consecutive seasons. American Football. The pinnacle of predatory excellence and social dominance on campus.
American Football
12 conference championships in 15 seasons. Basketball. Speed, precision, and a locker room culture built on confidence and controlled aggression.
BasketballCampus Life
Once every lunar cycle, campus enters total lockdown. No one leaves. Classes suspended. Wards reinforced. Disappearances are never investigated.
The most prestigious event of the year. Mandatory masks, no visible magic. Political alliances, mate scouting, silent declarations of dominance — and disappearances after midnight.
Mid-season athletic events marking both physical prowess and supernatural adeptness. Attended by wealthy patrons and members of the Ancient Lineages.
During extreme cold, certain species enter partial hibernation. Classes are adapted. Dormant students are quietly moved. Deep Underground facilities are used.
