Undefeated · 40 Consecutive Seasons
The Team
The Redwood Lions are more than a football team. They are a symbol — of dominance, ambition, and the raw hierarchy of Redwood University. Undefeated for forty consecutive seasons, their legacy is not built on luck.
Playing for the Lions is a fast-track into elite circles. Performance on the field translates directly to social standing, fraternity offers, elite dormitory placement, and political backing within the Veiled World.
Elite spectators — masked influencers — attend every home game. What happens on the field is watched far beyond the stadium.
Team Identity
During official games and regulated training sessions, partial shifting is permitted. Enhanced gait, speed, and resilience give the Lions a physical edge that no purely human team could match.
Once a week, the team trains in a controlled environment that allows partial shifting. Sessions are monitored by team healers and magical regulators to prevent instinct override.
Every Lions helmet bears suppression sigils — magical inscriptions that prevent uncontrolled abilities during play. Power, contained and directed.
A mid-season series marking both athletic prowess and supernatural adeptness. Attended by wealthy patrons and occasionally by members of the Ancient Lineages.
Playing for the Lions shifts a student's standing dramatically. Elite spectators attend games — masked influencers who decide who rises and who disappears from the social ladder.
Ancient rivalries with the Silver Wolves — physical, aggressive, pack-oriented — and the Obsidian Ravens — tactical, deceptive, and unpredictable. Every match carries decades of history.
Pre-Game
The entire team performs the Lion's Roar — a synchronized ritual believed to sharpen instincts and intimidate opponents before the first whistle. Legend says the essence of the Redwood Woods itself resonates through it.
