Speed. Precision. Dominance.

Where the Lions dominate through raw power and pack mentality, the Hawks rule through precision, speed, and individual brilliance. Fast, aggressive, and relentless — their playstyle mirrors the predator they're named after.

The Hawks are campus celebrities. Their games fill the Redwood Arena, and their star players carry an aura that extends far beyond the court — into parties, hallways, and the Underground.

Their locker room culture revolves around confidence, reputation, and proving dominance. Trash talk and showmanship aren't just tolerated — they're part of the identity.

What Sets Them Apart

Precision Sessions

Several times a week the Hawks run specialized drills designed to sharpen reaction speed and instinctual coordination — silent communication, rapid directional shifts, and heightened spatial awareness.

Night Court Training

Occasionally the team practices under near-darkness, minimal lighting only. The goal is to sharpen sensory awareness and predatory focus beyond what daylight training can achieve.

Partial Shifting

Minimal instinct enhancements — vision, reflexes, balance — are permitted during official games and regulated training. Strictly monitored. Full shifting remains absolutely forbidden.

Campus Presence

Hawks players are highly visible. Their games attract massive crowds. Star athletes become campus celebrities — and in the Veiled World, celebrity translates directly into power.

The Underground

The starting five are more than teammates. Off-court, they operate as a tight criminal organization within the University's Underground — information, influence, and things better left unspoken.

Rivalries

Ancient rivalries with the Silvercrest Serpents — calculating and strategic — and the Crimson Stags — disciplined and tactical. Every season brings new grudges and settled scores.

The Hawk's Descent

Before Every Home Game

The team performs the Hawk's Descent — a silent ritual at center court meant to synchronize instincts and sharpen focus before the first whistle. It symbolizes a hunting hawk diving toward its prey: fast, precise, and unstoppable.

  • A tight circle formation at center court
  • Players lower their heads, breathing slowly in unison
  • Complete silence — no words, no sound
  • A final simultaneous clap signaling the strike
